eCPRINT Ordering procedure

When an online order is placed through the eCPRINT website, the order request is not scheduled for production until payment has been processed and cleared. Once we have received your order request, we will check over the details of your order within 3 hours on the current working day (or if received outside of hours) on the next working day. If there are any issues in respect to your order we will contact you to clarify these and then once the order and instructions are clear, we will raise an invoice and email this to you. Details that must be clarified include the specifics of the design requirements, the specifications for printing including stock, finishing and quantity, plus delivery details if applicable. Most of this is specified with your order, but occasionally there are conflicting instructions or some of the detail required may be unclear.

Invoice and payment
Once you have received a copy of your invoice for your job, you must check all the specifications to ensure it is exactly as per your request. You must also check despatch information and estimated turnaround times. If delivery is included with your job, you must check the delivery / despatch terms. [click here]
Once your invoice has been paid and the funds cleared and reconciled in our account - your job will proceed to production. In order to expediate this process, we recommend credit card payment either in person or over the phone, or you can use paypal - we will email you a link when sending your invoice. If paying via direct funds transfers using online banking - ensure you include your invoice number on the transaction and email a copy to our accounts department or your eCPRINT consultant.
If you do not include your invoice number, then reconciliation of your payment will be delayed, and subsequently the transition of your job into the production phase.
Clients wishing to apply for a credit account, can request this through their local eCPRINT office or speak to their consultant. Minimum annual ordering amounts may apply and credit accounts are at the discretion of the credit controller.

Fees and charges
eCPRINT motto is printing made easy, and as such we include many fees and processes into a simple pricing structure. There are some extra Do it Yourself (DIY) fees that you should be aware of before choosing to do your own artwork:
1. DIY Artwork Resubmission Fee - $25 is payable when resubmitting your artwork after eCPRINT has already checked your original file and emailed a proof of your artwork. This includes simple content changes and artwork mistakes and covers the cost of re-checking your new file and placement in our production queue
2. DIY Artwork Hand Holding Fee - $35 is payable if you require eCPRINT to fix a problem with your artwork. Quoted when required and must be approved by the client first. Complex artwork problems will be quoted if they are likely to cost more than $35 and we give you the option to re-supply. Read more below.
3. Order Cancellation Fee - $50 is payable if you cancel an order after paying any portion, or eCPRINT has proofed artwork. This is to cover administration, accounts and artwork costs. Minimum payable is $50, however costs may be higher if films and/or plates have already been made ready for production. If your job has already been printed and only requires finishing and trimming, cancellations will not be allowed.

You will receive one free proof for each item ordered. Proofs provided by eCPRINT are an indication of the final printed product only and are not intended to be an exact replica. Variations in colour or trim can occur as a result of the printing process. eCPRINT accepts no responsibility for reprint requests as a result of variations in colour between the proof and the final product. The proof is for you to check content, spelling, layout etc and also to give you a fairly close representation of the colour output you would expect in production. If you are very specific about precise colour matching, your job will have to be re-quoted as a stand alone job, and perhaps even done using spot Pantone colours, which can be very expensive, but certainly recommended if you have any concerns about the variations that are to be expected from proof to print, and from one run to the next when using economical bulk run CMYK process printing.
Additional proofing charges may apply if you make more than the allowable number of changes or corrections for the product you are ordering. Check the specifics when ordering or ask your consultant.

Artwork authorisation - final proof
When authorising proofs from eCPRINT, you are held fully responsible for checking, proofing and accepting all content. This includes design, spelling, grammar, numbers, layout and all content. It is your responsibility to request another copy if your proof is difficult to read. We will print exactly what is approved by you in the final proof. eCPRINT takes all care in preparing your artwork as per your instructions, but takes no responsibility for the content after you have authorised the job to proceed to print. We will not reprint your job at our expense if you have checked the final proof and accepted the job as 'ready to print'.
If you would like to make changes to your DIY artwork after viewing the proof, you may resubmit your updated artwork to receive a new proof for $25 inc gst. Alternatively we can make your requested changes for you from $35 inc gst and then email you a new proof.

Turnaround times for design, proofing and printing
Turnaround times will vary depending on the time of year, staffing levels as well as the complexity of your job. The current average turnaround time for most printing products is 5-10 working days. Printing products and services ordered online (unless otherwise specified) are non urgent and without a deadline. The turnaround times we give you when accpeting your order are not guaranteed but a rough guide so you know what to expect somewhat. With printing, as with many things in life, It is always wise to factor in hold-ups that are outside of your control and expect the unexpected. Whilst we will do everything we can to turn your job around quickly and to the highest standard - the only way we will offer a guarantee for fast turnaround is with our Digital Express range or our Same Day Express range of products both of which are priced higher than our standard range of products and services.
Turnaround times for design vary from 2 working days to around 8 working days depending on what is involved. Obviously business cards and stationery design is a lot quicker than design and formatting a 48 page book. Your consultant should be able to give you a fairly good estimate at the time of ordering. For the purpose of planning ahead, make sure you factor in design time for your project as well as printing time. As much as we would like to, we don't have a magic wand or a time machine, so for now we will work within the time/space continuum constraints of this universe. Also allow some time for to-ing and fro-ing with proofs along the way. In our experience, some of the longest delays can be caused by clients not responding quickly to our requests, or tardiness in getting back to us with changes or approvals.
